ICx Technologies Wins $3.6 Million Pentagon Contract

November 2, 2009 (FinancialWire) — ICx Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICXT) (Current Market Cap: $174.05 Mil.) has been awarded a $3.6 million contract for the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. As part of the contract, ICx will provide both its Griffin and ChemSense detection instruments for installation in the Pentagon.

The Griffin line offers detection, identification and confirmation for compounds of interest. The ChemSense multi-dimensional analysis systems provide the same performance in a specialized design for continuous indoor air monitoring and detection.

ICx said the contract will last 12 months and was awarded by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation.

Arlington, Virginia-based ICx Technologies is engaged in the development and integration of sensor technologies for homeland security, force protection and commercial applications.

The company's sensors detect and identify chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats, and deliver superior awareness and actionable intelligence for wide-area surveillance, intrusion detection and facility security.
